Breaking it Down to a Napkin.

 

Ever have a gorilla type of an idea?  A big picture vision of where you want to go?

Begin with the end in mind.

Have a mission statement.

Set the goals.

Run your ideas through a thought filter.

Make sure you can break down the process on a napkin where everyone can get the idea.

Once you can get the idea sold to others, then you can add in the details.  The details matter before your ready to launch the idea.

Using key word and phrase searches on the web you can spend a month, 6 months or a year fully dialing in a idea …that said, Seth had some great insights on the power of OODA ( observe, orientate, decide and act ) and tweaking a great idea as you go.  

If you think of point A as “I have no clue if this idea will work”, point C as perfect information where everyone is doing it, and point B as the act point, the quicker you can make B, the greater the reward.

When we begin to look into a new HUGE idea I am spending a large amount of time online at Google, Delicious, Digg, StumbleUpon and searching Twitter, You Tube and Facebook.  My goal is to do 2 months of research in 2 weeks.

I am searching out real people to speak with and real life example that might be similar yet not the same.
